Channel 4 Racing Tips
Lingfield 1:45 Unibet Hever Sprint Stakes (All-Weather Championship Fast-Track Qualifier) (Listed Race) (1) 4yo+ View BetTurtle Racecard
MOVE IN TIME ran against likely favourite Muthamir in the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp when last seen in October and suffered from a bad draw and wasn't beaten that far. Can do better here and enjoys a small weight pull with the favourite.
GIBRALFARO has won both starts since joining Alan King and will come into the reckoning for the Triumph Hurdle if putting up a good performance. The form from latest win has been franked with runner up Connectable subsequently winning a Listed race at Sandown.
VENDOR is proving very consistent for the in-form Sue Smith yard and ran into an improver when finishing 2nd at Musselburgh on latest in a Listed event. Can be competitive here dropping back into a handicap.
MON SUCCESSEUR finished 7th when last ran at Cheltenham in January. He was subsequently found to be lame which explains the below par performer. If back to best, can provide Paul Nicholls with his 9th winner in this race (has won 8 of last 10 runnings) with the stable in cracking form.
ROCKING BLUES is a lightly raced 11 year old who is in the form of his life having won his last two races easily with today's 10lb claimer on board on both occassions. Remains well treated and better may be yet to come. We recommend an each way saver on Cork Citizen who may come on for the run following stable and handicap debut at Taunton last time out.
MARRACUDJA was disappointing when last seen out at Kempton in December having impressed in two facile wins at Wincanton previously. The Nicholls yard are in much better form now and offers a bit of value against the short priced favourite.
Lingfield 3:20 Coral Winter Derby (All-Weather Championship Fast-Track Qualifier) (Group 3) (1) 4yo+ View BetTurtle Racecard
GRENDISAR has won 5 times at this course and was runner up in this race last year. Looks primed to run a big race and should be thereabouts at the finish.
THOMAS BROWN A very useful hurdler has won 2 from 3 chase races. Still improving and interesting stepped up in class. We recommend an each way saver on Le Reve who was runner up in this last year.
Win Value Tips
Our value bets highlight the horses we think have the best chance of winning at value prices (typically 2/1+). Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
Beaten 20 lengths last time out at Doncaster in a tough race. He is better than that and this drop in grade should help.
Showed improved form when winning over course last time following a break. Can improve further over the extra distance of today's trip.
Likes it round here and this in form horse can go close.
Made break through when winning last time in first time cheek pieces despite needing frequent coaxing. Open to further improvement and Barry Geraghty retains the ride.
Each Way Value Tips
Our each way bets are horses at decent prices (5/1+) we think can go close to winning.
Has been placed in last 6 races and this consistent sort has conditions to suit and should be thereabouts.
Back or Lay Tips
We review the chances of today's short priced runners with a view to backing or laying them. Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
Should win this and complete the hatrick.
Should come on for Naas debut and will take the beating here.
Cost £150K and disappointed last time out at Ascot (fell when going well 3 out on hurdling debut). The stable is in much better form and will hopefully show true colours today.
Disappointed last time and has questions to answer, especially at this morning's price.
Looks potentially smart having last run in Cheltenham bumper last year and can take this on hurdling and seasonal debut.
Potentially smart and is being targetted at Supreme Novices at Cheltenham. May not be primed for this and has a rival with potential in opposition.
Won at Haydock last time and Davy Russell travels over from Ireland for the ride. Very short though and there are a couple of potential improvers in the field that can make a race of it.
Been proving difficult to win with, but is clear form choice in this race and should go close.
Won at 40/1 on hurdling debut and 2nd has won since. A few interesting rivals in opposition and has to be taken on at such a short price.
Drops in trip having failed to stay 7f last time (race keenly). Remains with potential and should be there in the shake-up.
Been placed both starts and look like a horse with potential. However, a few unexposed horses in opposition today and looks to short a price considering.
A potentially useful prospect who ran well last time. Room for improvement with jumping and may struggle against the Willie Mullins newcomer.
Willie Mullins has won this race in the past and he introduces an interesting newcomer. Watch for support in the market.
Winning Money With BetTurtle Racecards
We think our race cards are brilliant (we may be a little bit biased) and we are determined to help everyone that uses BetTurtle to learn their power. Here are a few handy tips to increase your chances of profit.
- The Horseshoes help you filter the best horses in the race. In general, too much RED and you should avoid the horse. The exceptions are for horses from Shrewd trainers (Gold Stars next to their name), hot trainers or jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) and horses that have attracted market support (GREEN horseshoe).
- The horseshoes may change through the racing day, as the vibes and markets change. Click on the STATS button and select the RATINGS tab for a live summary view of the horseshoes and a set of rosettes that show the horses we think are most likely to win at that moment in time based on form, current odds and racecourse vibes.
- Watch out for Shrewd Trainers (Gold Stars next to their names) , as they are trainers who have a habit of winning at decent odds in certain types of races.
- In the main, avoid cold trainers and jockeys (names with BLUE backgrounds) unless there is market support (GREEN market horseshoe).
- Be wary of our win tips if the market horseshoe is RED.
- Click the STATS and FORM buttons to see a wealth of information that can help you further.
- Hot trainers and jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) are enjoying an unusually high winner strike rate in the past few weeks and should always be considered.

Puzzle Of The Day
Here's where we challenge you to see if you can use the tools we provide in BetTurtle to find the winner in this race, a race we think could spring a big price surprise as we have doubts about the favourite at this morning's prices. Mail us your thoughts/selection firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet us @betturtle
Another weak favourite found yesterday! We have been proved correct 16 from 18 times since we started this feature. Yesterday's weak favourite selection Mitre Peak finished 6th at 11/2. Hopefully some of you found the winner, Spes Nostra at 28/1.
Some clues to consider: The current favourite in the race is Muthmir (IRE)
who at this morning's prices is 3/1. The horse is a class act, but has to overcome a 146 day absence and first start on all weather surface. Are there any less exposed, better handicapped or classier horses in the race? Turtle Hint: Click here for the race card
and click the STATS button and select HORSE to see what horses are better treated or less exposed. Mail us email@example.com
