Win Value Tips

Our value bets highlight the horses we think have the best chance of winning at value prices (typically 2/1+).  Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
NAP Newmarket 3:00 Desert Encounter (IRE) 2/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Has won last two since upped in trip to 12 furlongs. Steps up to 14 furlongs today and can improve further.
Newbury 5:35 Mustaaqeem (USA) 4/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Hampered several times when making run on seasonal debut in April. Should strip fitter today and with better luck in running can take this for the in form Sir Michael Stoute yard.
Uttoxeter 7:00 Castletown (IRE) 7/2 View BetTurtle Racecard
Won at the course in April and can continue good progress over fences.
NB Doncaster 8:45 Jordan Sport 10/3 View BetTurtle Racecard
Comfortably won a handicap at Redcar latest and can improve again off of a 7lb higher mark.

Each Way Value Tips

Our each way bets are horses at decent prices (5/1+) we think can go close to winning.
Bangor-On-Dee 4:50 Rebel Benefit (IRE) 13/2 View BetTurtle Racecard
Aiden Coleman is an interesting booking for a horse not seen out since January and who has pulled up twice and unseated rider in last three runs. Better expected today.
Doncaster 7:45 Murad Khan (FR) 17/2 View BetTurtle Racecard
Won a Chelmsford maiden with the minimum of fuss last time. Open to more improvement and can be in the shake up here on first attempt in handicap company.
Doncaster 8:15 Gold Flash 8/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Has finished 2nd both starts for new yard and chance to go one better dropped to 6 furlongs.

Back or Lay Tips

We review the chances of today's short priced runners with a view to backing or laying them. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
BACK Newbury 2:10 Global Applause 4/6 View BetTurtle Racecard
Clear form choice based on impressive win at Newmarket on debut latest.
LAY OF THE DAY Newmarket 2:25 Ehtiraas 11/10 View BetTurtle Racecard
Ran close at this course on debut in September, but plenty of unexposed rivals from top stables to take him on with.
BACK Bangor-On-Dee 3:05 Dexcite (FR) 1/4 View BetTurtle Racecard
Should win this, as clear form choice.
LAY Newmarket 4:45 Opposition 7/4 View BetTurtle Racecard
Won easily on handicap debut upped to this trip. Raised 10lbs and upped in class today, so very short price with improvement needed.
BACK Bangor-On-Dee 5:50 Tara View 2/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Stable in top form and this lightly raced horse can improve on recent Cheltenham 6th.

Winning Money With BetTurtle Racecards

We think our race cards are brilliant (we may be a little bit biased) and we are determined to help everyone that uses BetTurtle to learn their power. Here are a few handy tips to increase your chances of profit.
  1. The Horseshoes help you filter the best horses in the race. In general, too much RED and you should avoid the horse. The exceptions are for horses from Shrewd trainers (Gold Stars next to their name), hot trainers or jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) and horses that have attracted market support (GREEN horseshoe).
  2. The horseshoes may change through the racing day, as the vibes and markets change. Click on the STATS button and select the RATINGS tab for a live summary view of the horseshoes and a set of rosettes that show the horses we think are most likely to win at that moment in time based on form, current odds and racecourse vibes.
  3. Watch out for Shrewd Trainers (Gold Stars next to their names) , as they are trainers who have a habit of winning at decent odds in certain types of races.
  4. In the main, avoid cold trainers and jockeys (names with BLUE backgrounds) unless there is market support (GREEN market horseshoe).
  5. Be wary of our win tips if the market horseshoe is RED.
  6. Click the STATS and FORM buttons to see a wealth of information that can help you further.
  7. Hot trainers and jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) are enjoying an unusually high winner strike rate in the past few weeks and should always be considered.

Puzzle Of The Day

Here's where we challenge you to see if you can use the tools we provide in BetTurtle to find the winner in this race, a race we think could spring a big price surprise as we have doubts about the favourite at this morning's prices. Mail us your thoughts/selection or tweet us @betturtle
Another weak favourite found yesterday! We have been proved correct 47 from 66 times since we started this feature. Yesterday's weak favourite selection Fabricate finished 2nd at 11/4.  Hopefully some of you found the winner, Sir Chauvelin at 7/1.

Today's Puzzle Race Is Bangor-On-Dee 3:40

Some clues to consider: The current favourite in the race is Hindon Road (IRE) who at this morning's prices is 9/4. He hasn't won for almost 4 years and 9 runs. Are there any less exposed, better handicapped or classier horses in the race? Turtle Hint:  Click here for the race card and click the STATS button and select HORSE to see what horses are better treated or less exposed. Mail us or tweet us @betturtle your thoughts/selection.
