Yesterday's Results

Improvements we have recently made to our tipping algorithms continue to pay dividends. We had another profitable day for the Website with a few decent priced winners including Revolutionist 8/1, On Alberts Head 6/1, Safira Menina 6/1. If you had put £10 on every website tip (something we wouldn't recommend, as a more selective strategy is better), you would have made a £128 profit. Over the weekend the Website tips have returned a £326 profit if you had placed £10 on all 123 tips at SP (we had 39 winners and a 32% strike rate). Our Win Value Tips made a £10 profit across the 3 selections using our normal £10 stake at SP. This takes our profit for the month to £216 for the Win Value Tips. The Back/Lay section made a £25 profit to £10 stakes yesterday with 5 from 8 successful bets, overall we have a £50 loss for this section the month so far.

Today's Tips

Win Value Tips

Our value bets highlight the horses we think have the best chance of winning at value prices (typically 2/1+).  Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on.

Redcar 2:50 Adherence 7/2 View BetTurtle Racecard
Close 2nd last twice and may be open to further improvement. Can go close again.
NB Leicester 3:30 Jadaayil 5/4 View BetTurtle Racecard
Won on seasonal debut in a Newmarket maiden at the Craven Meeting in April. Steps up into handicap company today and this lightly raced filly has more to offer. Should be in the mix.
NAP Wolverhampton (A.W) 8:10 Pietrafiore (IRE) 7/2 View BetTurtle Racecard
Lightly raced Godolphin filly, who is expected to improve now handicapping for the first time and back to a more suitable trip.

Each Way Value Tips

Our each way bets are horses at decent prices (5/1+) we think can go close to winning.

Back or Lay Tips

We review the chances of today's short priced runners with a view to backing or laying them. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.

LAY Leicester 2:00 Evergate 3/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Started favourite on debut at Newmarket, so likely to have been fit that day and not guaranteed to improve. Plenty of unexposed rivals to take him on with.
LAY Towcester 2:10 Il Presidente (GER) 4/6 View BetTurtle Racecard
Beaten 20 lengths at Warwick latest having returned from almost 3 years off the track. Short priced and needs to continue to prove well being.
LAY Leicester 2:30 Rodaini (USA) 2/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Cost £340K and trainer won with first 2 year old debutant last week. However, looks short priced with plenty of competition from top stables.
LAY Towcester 3:10 Royal Battalion 4/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Has only won once in 15 starts and whilst decent form last time at Towcester, has often flattered to deceive.
LAY Towcester 3:40 Rebel Benefit (IRE) 9/2 View BetTurtle Racecard
Has failed to finish in 4 from 6 chase races, but won over hurdles yesterday.
BACK Towcester 3:40 Dusk Till Dawn (IRE) 15/8 View BetTurtle Racecard
With doubts over main market rival, can win this today having won at Newton Abbot latest.
LAY Redcar 3:50 Zanjabeel 3/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Ran well on debut and was hampered at vital stage, but has already been gelded suggesting he is no superstar. There may be one or two in this race that could spring a surprise.
BACK Leicester 4:00 Boycie 11/4 View BetTurtle Racecard
Won easily at Lingfield last time and a repeat of that performance will suffice here.
LAY Leicester 4:00 Smart Mover (IRE) 9/4 View BetTurtle Racecard
Has failed to win on going this quick, so worth taking on.
LAY Leicester 4:30 Bolt Phantom (USA) 5/4 View BetTurtle Racecard
Ran well on debut last time, but short priced that day and may not be much improvement to come with only 9 days since last race.
LAY OF THE DAY Leicester 4:30 Ardad (IRE) 1/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Cost £170K and may need this debut.
LAY Redcar 5:20 Its Only Mossy (IRE) 5/1 View BetTurtle Racecard
Both wins have been on the all weather and needs to prove he can repeat the form on turf. Came up short when favourite at Hamilton latest.
LAY Lingfield 5:50 Naafer 4/7 View BetTurtle Racecard
Ran well on debut and should improve. Very short price though and taking on in the hope that there is one or two in here that can beat her.
LAY Ballinrobe 6:00 Double Speak (IRE) 15/8 View BetTurtle Racecard
Won at Punchestown latest having been off the track for almost two years. Not had much time to recover and could suffer the dreaded bounce, so taking on.
LAY Wolverhampton (A.W) 6:40 Istiqlaal 6/4 View BetTurtle Racecard
May need this experience and longer trip to be seen at best.
BACK Wolverhampton (A.W) 6:40 Shadad (IRE) 7/2 View BetTurtle Racecard
Has progressed in each race and can improve again and go close here.
LAY Lingfield 7:20 Haddajah (IRE) 11/8 View BetTurtle Racecard
Ran well in Ascot Maiden last time and open to considerable improvement. Plenty short enough though, with some decent yards with unexposed types in opposition.
LAY Wolverhampton (A.W) 7:40 Minstrels Gallery (IRE) 4/5 View BetTurtle Racecard
Has been raised 14lbs for winning last two starts. This is much tougher and very short priced.

Winning Money With BetTurtle Racecards

We think our race cards are brilliant (we may be a little bit biased) and we are determined to help everyone that uses BetTurtle to learn their power. Here are a few handy tips to increase your chances of profit.

  1. The Horseshoes help you filter the best horses in the race. In general, too much RED and you should avoid the horse. The exceptions are for horses from Shrewd trainers (Gold Stars next to their name), hot trainers or jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) and horses that have attracted market support (GREEN horseshoe).
  2. The horseshoes may change through the racing day, as the vibes and markets change. Click on the STATS button and select the RATINGS tab for a live summary view of the horseshoes and a set of rosettes that show the horses we think are most likely to win at that moment in time based on form, current odds and racecourse vibes.
  3. Watch out for Shrewd Trainers (Gold Stars next to their names) , as they are trainers who have a habit of winning at decent odds in certain types of races.
  4. In the main, avoid cold trainers and jockeys (names with BLUE backgrounds) unless there is market support (GREEN market horseshoe).
  5. Be wary of our win tips if the market horseshoe is RED.
  6. Click the STATS and FORM buttons to see a wealth of information that can help you further.
  7. Hot trainers and jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) are enjoying an unusually high winner strike rate in the past few weeks and should always be considered.
  8. Provide us feedback by mailing us at feedback@betturtle.com

Puzzle Of The Day

Here's where we challenge you to see if you can use the tools we provide in BetTurtle to find the winner in this race, a race we think could spring a big price surprise as we have doubts about the favourite at this morning's prices. Mail us your thoughts/selection feedback@betturtle.com or tweet us @betturtle

Another weak favourite found yesterday! We have been proved correct 60 from 84 times since we started this feature. Yesterday's weak favourite selection Flutterbee finished 2nd at 9/4F.  Hopefully some of you found the winner, Safira Menina at 6/1.
