made all from sole rival, driven over 2f out, kept on, well in command inside final furlong

Win Value Tips

Our value bets highlight the horses we think have the best chance of winning at value prices (typically 2/1+).  Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on.

  4  Whigwham

  Beverley    1:50  View BetTurtle Racecard
Has failed to win in 4 starts and now dropped into claiming company for the first time. Should be up to winning this.

  5  Screaming Rose
  Listowel    4:45  View BetTurtle Racecard
2 from 2 over hurdles and looks progressive for the Willie Mullins/Ruby Walsh partnership.

  4  Sword Exceed
  Beverley    5:10  View BetTurtle Racecard
Has had the speed to lead in both starts to date and this drop to 5 furlongs should suit. Can go well for a trainer making a rare visit to Beverley.

Back or Lay Tips

We review the chances of today's short priced runners with a view to backing or laying them. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
  9 Via Serendipity
  Yarmouth    2:15  View BetTurtle Racecard
3rd in a decent York maiden (3 subsequent winners from 7) and should improve. However, up against a number of well bred newcomers from top yards and no surprise if one of them improves past him.

  1 So Mi Dar
  Yarmouth    3:25  View BetTurtle Racecard
Top class prospect. Has won 3 from 3, but has been off the track injured since winning the Group 3 Musidora stakes at York in May. Will be targetted at the big Autumn races and unlikely to be fully wound up today. Looks to have too much class for these though.

  3 Four On Eight
  Beverley    3:30  View BetTurtle Racecard
Has failed to win in 5 attempts in handicaps and at a short morning price worth taking on.

  3 Yorker
  Sandown    3:50  View BetTurtle Racecard
Finished 3rd in Group 3 company on stable debut finishing a highly respectable 3rd. Now 7 years old and may find one of the younger horses improve past him.

  5 Al Neksh
  Yarmouth    4:00  View BetTurtle Racecard
Raced too keenly when well fancied at Goodwood latest and was allowed to come home in own time. Better than that and will take the beating today, based on earlier win at Chester in July.

  4 Theligny
  Kelso    4:15  View BetTurtle Racecard
Lightly raced and finished 2nd on both hurdle starts last Autumn. Not been seen since, but has run well following a break in the past and looks primed for a decent run with Richard Johnson in the saddle.

  6 Mad Money
  Kelso    4:50  View BetTurtle Racecard
Won at Worcester on Monday and carries a 7lbs penalty today. Prior to that win had been 0 from 20 and not an obvious one to follow up.

  10 Her Terms
  Beverley    5:10  View BetTurtle Racecard
Clear form choice and is 0 from 4 including respectable 2nds on last 3 starts. May again find one of the unexposed types too good.

  7 Timiyan
  Listowel    5:20  View BetTurtle Racecard
Has potential for top connections, but has been off the track for 291 days and may need this.

  3 Temple Man
  Kelso    7:00  View BetTurtle Racecard
Very short priced for a horse making debut and whilst the yard has an excellent strike rate in these types of races, they have had few runners in recent weeks and may be worth swerving for now.

Winning Money With BetTurtle Racecards

We think our race cards are brilliant (we may be a little bit biased) and we are determined to help everyone that uses BetTurtle to learn their power. Here are a few handy tips to increase your chances of profit.
  1. The Horseshoes help you filter the best horses in the race. In general, too much RED and you should avoid the horse. The exceptions are for horses from Shrewd trainers (Gold Stars next to their name), hot trainers or jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) and horses that have attracted market support (GREEN horseshoe).
  2. The horseshoes may change through the racing day, as the vibes and markets change. Click on the STATS button and select the RATINGS tab for a live summary view of the horseshoes and a set of rosettes that show the horses we think are most likely to win at that moment in time based on form, current odds and racecourse vibes.
  3. Watch out for Shrewd Trainers (Gold Stars next to their names) , as they are trainers who have a habit of winning at decent odds in certain types of races.
  4. In the main, avoid cold trainers and jockeys (names with BLUE backgrounds) unless there is market support (GREEN market horseshoe).
  5. Be wary of our win tips if the market horseshoe is RED.
  6. Click the STATS and FORM buttons to see a wealth of information that can help you further.
  7. Hot trainers and jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) are enjoying an unusually high winner strike rate in the past few weeks and should always be considered.
