Win Value Tips

Our value bets highlight the horses we think have the best chance of winning at value prices (typically 2/1+).  Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on.
  4  Star Of Rory
  Epsom    2:40  View BetTurtle Racecard
Won a decent Haydock maiden on debut and followed up with a close 2nd in a Listed event next time. Can improve further and should be competitive here.

  5  The Happy Prince
  Curragh    2:50  View BetTurtle Racecard
1 win and 3 seconds in last 4 starts. Latest close up 2nd in a Doncaster Group 2 event over 7 furlongs is decent form and this drop back to 6 furlongs should be ideal. Can take this if in the same mood.

  1  Aldrin
  Epsom    4:55  View BetTurtle Racecard
Finished 4th on Doncaster debut over 7 furlongs in July in a race that has provided a few subsequent winners. This step up to 10 furlongs should suit and can improve, if fit enough, following a 66 day break. Favourites have a decent record in this race.

Back or Lay Tips

We review the chances of today's short priced runners with a view to backing or laying them. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
  3 Medieval
  Epsom    2:40  View BetTurtle Racecard
Has best form claims. but needs to prove this extra 1.5 furlong trip will suit and may be susceptible to an improver.

  1 Capri
  Curragh    3:25  View BetTurtle Racecard
The Aiden O'Brien yard has won this race 7 times (including the last 5 times) and with 4 of the 7 entries today, looks to have a strong hand. Favourite, Capri, has raced 3 times and won his last two including a Listed event at Tipperary latest. The manner of that victory suggested he was a top class prospect, but 6 subsequent runners from that race have failed to win, so raises some doubts about the quality of the form. The stable won this race last year with a 14/1 shot and had a 2nd string horse win at Newmarket yesterday at 25/1, therefore, it may be worth looking elsewhere for some value.

  3 Cape Banjo
  Epsom    4:55  View BetTurtle Racecard
Has failed to win in 10 starts and has finished 2nd in 6 of those. Has the look of the proverbial serial loser and one to avoid.

Winning Money With BetTurtle Racecards

We think our race cards are brilliant (we may be a little bit biased) and we are determined to help everyone that uses BetTurtle to learn their power. Here are a few handy tips to increase your chances of profit.
  1. The Horseshoes help you filter the best horses in the race. In general, too much RED and you should avoid the horse. The exceptions are for horses from Shrewd trainers (Gold Stars next to their name), hot trainers or jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) and horses that have attracted market support (GREEN horseshoe).
  2. The horseshoes may change through the racing day, as the vibes and markets change. Click on the STATS button and select the RATINGS tab for a live summary view of the horseshoes and a set of rosettes that show the horses we think are most likely to win at that moment in time based on form, current odds and racecourse vibes.
  3. Watch out for Shrewd Trainers (Gold Stars next to their names) , as they are trainers who have a habit of winning at decent odds in certain types of races.
  4. In the main, avoid cold trainers and jockeys (names with BLUE backgrounds) unless there is market support (GREEN market horseshoe).
  5. Be wary of our win tips if the market horseshoe is RED.
  6. Click the STATS and FORM buttons to see a wealth of information that can help you further.
  7. Hot trainers and jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) are enjoying an unusually high winner strike rate in the past few weeks and should always be considered.
