Channel 4 Racing Tips

Newmarket 2:20 Dubai Business Internships Fillies' Nursery Handicap (2) 2yo
View BetTurtle Racecard
  2  Amabilis 12/1
Dead heated in Beverley maiden latest and steps into handicap company for first time. Likely to be open to further improvement and offers a bit of value in today's race.

York 2:35 Download The Coral App Stakes (Handicap) (0-110) (2) 3yo+
View BetTurtle Racecard
  8  Great Order 3/1
Just failed to complete hatrick of wins at Newmarket latest over a mile and this step up to 10 furlongs likely to suit. Can continue to improve and should go well.

Newmarket 2:55 Dubai 100 Autumn Stakes (Group 3) (1) 2yo
View BetTurtle Racecard
  9  The Anvil 10/3
Just lost out in a Group 2 at Newmarket latest and this drop down to a Group 3 gives him a strong chance of going one better for the Aiden O'Brien stable.

York 3:10 Coral.Co.Uk Rockingham Stakes (Listed Race) (1) 2yo
View BetTurtle Racecard
  7  Silver Line 8/1
Disappointing in the Group 1 Middlepark Stakes latest, but had gone close in Group races on two occassions prior to that. This drop down into Listed company a big plus and should go close if back on song.

Newmarket 3:30 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1) (Entire Colts & Fillies) (1) 2yo
View BetTurtle Racecard
  1  Blue Point 9/1
Just missed out in the Group 1 Middlepark at this course last time having impressed when winning the Gimcrack at York previously. May be more improvement to come stepping up to 7 furlongs and offers a bit of value against the hot favourite.

York 3:45 Coral Sprint Trophy (Handicap) (0-105) (2) 3yo+
View BetTurtle Racecard
  11  Get Knotted 9/1
Very consistent performer who ran well off a 2lbs lower mark in the Ayr Silver Cup latest. Should run his race and be in the mix at the end.

Newmarket 4:10 Betfred Cesarewitch (Heritage Handicap) (2) 3yo+
View BetTurtle Racecard
  33  St Michel 7/1
Due to go up 15lbs in future, so well handicapped for the Sir Mark Prescott yard. Was outclassed in a Group 2 latest, but this return to handicap company should be ideal for this progressive horse.

Win Value Tips

Our value bets highlight the horses we think have the best chance of winning at value prices (typically 2/1+).  Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on.
  4  Family Crest 5/2
  Limerick    1:40  View BetTurtle Racecard
Can build on respectable Naas debut for top connections who won this race last year. Wears first time tongue tie. Stable have two other runners, so watch for betting moves on them.

  1  Black Hawk War 2/1
  Limerick    2:15  View BetTurtle Racecard
Impressed when winning debut over a mile at this course latest. Drop in trip should be fine and can progress and take this.

  8  Bally Lagan 9/2
  Hexham    4:05  View BetTurtle Racecard
Ran well returning from a 110 day break at Warwick latest. That race should have brought him on and the stable have had 5 winners from last 11 runners.

Back or Lay Tips

We review the chances of today's short priced runners with a view to backing or laying them. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
  8 Saltonstall  15/8
  Limerick    1:40  View BetTurtle Racecard
Ran well on debut finishing 2nd, but there have been 0 from 4 from that race since and it may not be the strongest form. Up against plenty of unexposed types from top yards and looks too short at this morning's prices.

  4 Sharliyna  10/11
  Limerick    2:15  View BetTurtle Racecard
Impressive winner at Leopardstown on debut in August. Can build on that if handling the softer conditions. Stable have been out of form recently (operating at 8% strike rate in past fortnight), so others preferred.

  4 Colin's Sister  9/4
  Chepstow    2:40  View BetTurtle Racecard
Looks short enough in the market on hurdling debut, having failed to win in 5 bumpers and has a 210 day absence to overcome.

  2 Ball D'Arc  4/6
  Fairyhouse    3:05  View BetTurtle Racecard
2nd on recent chase debut and stable won this in 2013. He should go well, but at odds on prices has to be taken on in the hope that one of the Henry De Bromhead horses can beat hm.

  6 Clan Des Obeaux  2/1
  Chepstow    3:15  View BetTurtle Racecard
Decent chasing prospect having been a top hurdler last season. May need the experience today and needs to prove suitability for this new trip.

  2 Churchill  4/5
  Newmarket    3:30  View BetTurtle Racecard
Irish horses have won 8 of the last 10 runnings of this race, so the omens are good for Churchill. He has won 4 from 5 including the Group 1 National Stakes at the Curragh latest. The form of that latest win may be questionable with only 4 runners and he represents poor value at odds on in a race with much stronger opposition.

  2 Diego Du Charmil  7/4
  Chepstow    3:50  View BetTurtle Racecard
Only raced twice and won the Fred Winter at Cheltenham in March. More to come and the stable have won this race 4 times in the past 10 years. This looks a hot race and taken on in the hope that one of the unexposed horses is better handicapped.

  19 Canny Tom  4/6
  Fairyhouse    5:25  View BetTurtle Racecard
Has been beaten favourite on 4 occassions and can't be backed with any confidence at such a short price.

  7 Hardline  4/5
  Fairyhouse    5:55  View BetTurtle Racecard
Ex-pointer who was an expensive purchase. Beaten 30 lengths on bumper debut (wore first time hood) and best watched for now with stable perservering with a hood.

Winning Money With BetTurtle Racecards

We think our race cards are brilliant (we may be a little bit biased) and we are determined to help everyone that uses BetTurtle to learn their power. Here are a few handy tips to increase your chances of profit.
  1. The Horseshoes help you filter the best horses in the race. In general, too much RED and you should avoid the horse. The exceptions are for horses from Shrewd trainers (Gold Stars next to their name), hot trainers or jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) and horses that have attracted market support (GREEN horseshoe).
  2. The horseshoes may change through the racing day, as the vibes and markets change. Click on the STATS button and select the RATINGS tab for a live summary view of the horseshoes and a set of rosettes that show the horses we think are most likely to win at that moment in time based on form, current odds and racecourse vibes.
  3. Watch out for Shrewd Trainers (Gold Stars next to their names) , as they are trainers who have a habit of winning at decent odds in certain types of races.
  4. In the main, avoid cold trainers and jockeys (names with BLUE backgrounds) unless there is market support (GREEN market horseshoe).
  5. Be wary of our win tips if the market horseshoe is RED.
  6. Click the STATS and FORM buttons to see a wealth of information that can help you further.
  7. Hot trainers and jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) are enjoying an unusually high winner strike rate in the past few weeks and should always be considered.
