Win Value Tips
Our value bets highlight the horses we think have the best chance of winning at value prices (typically 2/1+). Our NAP is the bet we are most confident with and NB is our next best selection at prices better than odds on.
Has improved for the fitting of blinkers last twice winning at Chelmsford earlier this month and finishing a strong finishing 2nd over a trip on the short side latest. First attempt at 7 furlongs and if stamina holds out should go well again.
Looks a chaser to follow a comfortable win at Sedgefield 8 days ago putting in an excellent round of jumping. Open to further improvement and can go in again with the in form Brian Hughes retaining the ride.
Has run well in two races to date and is of interest now making handicap debut stepping up in trip. Would be fitting for father and son to have a winner following Sam Twiston-Davies's return to the saddle after injury. It is Sam's only ride today.
Ex-German colt who ran well on stable debut at Kempton in October and looks well handicapped based on that form. Should strip fitter and go close here for a trainer and jockey who do well when they combine (25% strike rate).
Cost £75K and won a chase race at Exeter in February (2 wins from 8 subsequent runners). First beaten at Carlisle when last seen, but was said to have bled. Has since changed yards and is making seasonal debut today. It is interesting that in form Tom O'Brien has been booked for the ride and he may be worth an interest at a big morning price on handicap debut.
10lbs lower than last win at Chelmsford at this time last year and has now joined the Jo Hughes yard have run poorly this year. Worth risking at a big price in the hope the change of yard and Pat Cosgrave taking the ride (1 from 4 for yard) brings about a change in fortune.
Back or Lay Tips
We review the chances of today's short priced runners with a view to backing or laying them. The Lay Of The Day is the horse we think represents poor value and has the most realistic chance of being beaten today.
Cost £320K and ran with promise on debut, but tenderly handled having run green. Has been off the track since June and been gelded since. Open to considerable improvement and can prove to be a class above today's opponents.
A bit of a talking horse last year prior to disappointing in bumper start at Cheltenham last November. Had been off the track for almost a year before making a respectable hurdling debut last time at Huntingdon. Should strip fitter for the run and this step up in trip is bound to suit. A confident selection.
Finished 3rd on debut at Newmarket in October and is open to significant improvement for top connections.
Winning Money With BetTurtle Racecards
We think our race cards are brilliant (we may be a little bit biased) and we are determined to help everyone that uses BetTurtle to learn their power. Here are a few handy tips to increase your chances of profit.
The Horseshoes help you filter the best horses in the race. In general, too much RED and you should avoid the horse. The exceptions are for horses from Shrewd trainers (Gold Stars next to their name), hot trainers or jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) and horses that have attracted market support (GREEN horseshoe).
The horseshoes may change through the racing day, as the vibes and markets change. Click on the STATS button and select the RATINGS tab for a live summary view of the horseshoes and a set of rosettes that show the horses we think are most likely to win at that moment in time based on form, current odds and racecourse vibes.
Watch out for Shrewd Trainers (Gold Stars next to their names) , as they are trainers who have a habit of winning at decent odds in certain types of races.
In the main, avoid cold trainers and jockeys (names with BLUE backgrounds) unless there is market support (GREEN market horseshoe).
Be wary of our win tips if the market horseshoe is RED.
Click the STATS and FORM buttons to see a wealth of information that can help you further.
Hot trainers and jockeys (names with RED backgrounds) are enjoying an unusually high winner strike rate in the past few weeks and should always be considered.
