Introducing The New BetTurtle Form Study Insights Feature
In December 2023, BetTurtle launched the new Insights feature, available to Enhanced and Pro subscribers.
The new feature provides key insights for each horse including going, distance, class and other factors such as horse with improvement potential, first time handicappers and market strength.
We have also added a new Insights Tab under the Race Card stats button to make it easier to compare the insights for each horse in a race.
Below are details and analysis for each of the Insight columns to help you understand how this feature can help you quickly and effortlessly find a betting edge.
Key:
1 - Positive and insight check mark (tick)
2 - Neutral and insight question mark.
3 - Risky and insight cross.
Course
This stat uses previous proven positive form at course or similar course types to rate horses as a 1. Horses unexposed or have put up okay performances are rated as 2 and those that have underperformed are rated as 3.
A (1) rating is a positive sign and as you can see from the stats is a good differentiator.
Going
This stat uses previous proven positive form on going to rate horses as a 1. Horses unexposed or have put up okay performances are rated as 2 and those that have underperformed are rated as 3.
A (1) rating is a positive sign, but as you can see from the stats is not a major differentiator. This may be because trainers are well aware of the going preferences for their horses and avoid unsuitable surfaces.
Distance
This stat uses previous proven positive form over distance to rate horses as a 1. Horses unexposed or have put up okay performances are rated as 2 and those that have underperformed are rated as 3.
A (1) rating is a positive sign and as you can see from the stats is a good differentiator.
Class
This stat uses previous proven positive form in race class or higher to rate horses as a 1. Horses unexposed or have put up okay performances are rated as 2 and those that have underperformed are rated as 3.
A (1) rating is a positive sign and as you can see from the stats is a good differentiator.
Improver
This stat determines whether a horse is improving and rates it as a 1. Horses that are debuting or are unexposed are rated as 2 and more exposed or out of form horses are rated as 3.
A (1) rating provides a considerable betting edge and you should pay close attention to horses with a check(tick) in this column.
Consistency
This stat determines whether a horse is a consistent performer and rates it as a 1. Horses that are mildly inconsistent, debuting or are unexposed are rated as 2 and more inconsistent horses are rated as 3.
A (1) rating provides a considerable betting edge and you should pay close attention to horses with a check(tick) in this colum. Horses with a cross should be avoided, unless there is good reason to think otherwise.
Market
This stat determines whether a horse is strong in the betting market and rates it as a 1. Horses that are steady in the betting market are rated as 2 and horses weak in the betting market are rated as 3.
A (Green) rating provides a considerable betting edge and you should pay close attention to horses with a check(tick) in this colum. Horses with rated Red and with a cross should be avoided, unless there is good reason to think otherwise.
1st Handicap
A horse running in it's first handicap (True) is check (tick) or cross if not.
As you can see there is not much difference in terms of strike rate and this stat is more informational than useful.
Notebook
A horse that has been added to the BetTurtle notebook (True) is check (tick) or cross if not.
As you can see, horses added to the BetTurtle notebook provide a significant betting edge and should be carefully considered in a race.
