Sometimes it pays to consider the big picture on race day, rather than simply analysing individual races.
One way of doing this, is to look at where trainers are running their horses and the riders they have booked.
For us, we like to analyse in-form top trainers.
Using BetTurtle Tools, we can quickly find a list of all the in-form top trainers across all meetings.
Follow the instructions below and we will analyse the runners from racing on Saturday 6th July 2024 and the in-form and top trainers from that day.

Once you have your sorted list, we can start some basic analysis.
Aiden O'Brien
Aiden O'Brien has 4 short priced runners at Naas, with all 4 due to be ridden by an out of form apprentice rider.
By clicking the trainers name, we can see some useful stats that shows a trainer jockey combination of 1 win from 19 rides in last 2 years.

Clicking the jockey name shows additional stats. For example, 1 win in last 29 rides and 0 from 7 wins when starting as favourite.

Based on these stats, it may be worth considering other runners in these races at longer odds.
Result Update: Only 1 from 4 of the O'Brien runners won.
John & Thady Gosden
The Gosden's have 7 horses running at 3 different courses. Looking at the jockey bookings and Trainer/Jockey combo stats can help identify the intentions of the trainer, with the assumption they will pair horses with the best chance with regular stable or top jockeys.

On this basis there are two interesting jockey bookings.
Kieran Shoemark is the Gosden stable jockey and heads to Sandown for one ride for the yard in the 3.00. Interestingly the yard have 2 runners in this race.
In-form Oisin Murphy has been booked for one ride at Haydock. The trainer/jockey combination have a 35% strike rate. Once again the yard have two runners in the race with regular rider Robert Havlin also with a ride.
Result Update: Gosden won the Sandown 3.00 with his other runner ridden by Richard Kingscote priced at 25/1 and his Haydock runner ridden by Olsen Murphy won at 10/3.
William Haggas
11 runners from the William Haggas yard make the list.

Regular jockey Tom Marquand is being sent to Haydock for 3 rides, all in with good chances according to the betting market.
At Sandown, the yard have one runner, with Kieran Shoemark booked who has had 2 winners from 4 rides for the yard in recent seasons.
At Nottingham, Adam Farragher, who is another regular rider for the yard, has two rides with one a short priced favourite.
The yard don't have many runners at Beverley, but have had 3 winners from 7 runners in the last 2 seasons. So it is worth noting the yards two runners, both ridden by Oisin Orr, who has a 19% strike rate at the course.
Result Update: At Beverley both runners won under Oisin Orr.
